71lbs alternative: keep 100% of your UPS and FedEx refunds
71lbs is a long-running service that recovers late-delivery refunds and billing errors from UPS and FedEx in exchange for a share of what it recovers. ParcelAudit does the audit for a flat monthly price, so every dollar the carrier credits stays with you.
| ParcelAudit | 71lbs | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Flat monthly plan from $59, first audit free | A percentage of the refunds recovered |
| What you keep from a $1,000 refund | $1,000 (you pay only the plan) | $1,000 minus their percentage |
| Carrier account access | Not needed: forward invoice files by email or upload them | Connects to your carrier account |
| What is checked | Weight and dimensional weight, late deliveries, invalid surcharges, duplicates, unknown shipments, missing contract discounts, unused labels | Mainly late-delivery refunds and billing errors |
| Who files the claims | We write the dispute letter and spreadsheet; you send it in one click or let us email your carrier rep automatically | They file for you |
| See every finding | Yes: line by line, with the reason and the deadline | Reported by the service |
| Contract | Monthly, cancel any time | See their current terms |
When 71lbs is the better fit
If you want a service that handles everything and you are comfortable sharing a part of every refund, a contingency service like 71lbs is a reasonable choice. It has years of track record and a large customer base.
When ParcelAudit is the better fit
If your refunds add up to more than a few hundred dollars a month, a percentage fee quickly costs more than a flat plan. ParcelAudit also checks charges beyond late deliveries, shows you every finding, and never needs your carrier login.
Prefer not to do anything yourself? Our done-for-you service files the claims for 25% of what is recovered.
How to switch
Download last month's invoice data file from UPS Billing Center or FedEx Billing Online and run a free audit. You will see what was missed and how much you would keep, before paying anything.
